Hey everyone,

Welcome to Talk To Me Tuesday! I was speaking with my friend Mike the other day and I mentioned to him that I now drink alkaline water. He said he recently heard someone speaking about the use of alkaline water and was curious to know more about it. So, here we go!

First let's discuss what alkaline means for your body. Here is some information from

Our bodies function best when they are neither too acid nor too alkaline. Most people have become acidic due to diet, drink, and stress and from pollution.

Acidity or alkalinity is measured by "pH", which ranges from 0 on the acid side to 14on the alkaline side. Neutral is pH7. Our blood system is always working to keep itself in the narrow range of pH 7.35 to 7.45. Drinking alkaline water helps the body maintain a healthy pH level.

While fruits and vegetables are alkaline foods, many other common foods are acid producing. Stress, smoking, alcohol, and a sedentary lifestyle also add to the acidity of the body.

Alkaline Water is up to Six Times more Hydrating than Conventional Water.

With ionized alkaline water, the size and shape of the water molecule cluster is reduced in size and is changed in shape to hexagonal. This size and shape allows the water molecules to pass through your tissues more easily.

When the essential alkalizing minerals are ionized, your body is able to absorb and use them much more efficiently.

* Balanced body ph
* More Energy
* Strong Immune System
* Restored Cell Function
* Improved Mental Clarity
* Increased Fat Burning
* More Oxygen to Cells
* Disease Prevention and more

Now, with that said, I have only seen alkaline water sold in a bottle in one place so far. JJ and I get our alkaline water from a local natural foods store near where we live. They have the alkaline water filter at the store and we go get our glass jugs filled up weekly. The most ideal scenario is to purchase a water ionizer for your home. However, I will warn you that they are quite costly, but if you have the extra money I think it's a sound investment.

Please also be aware that this particular post is for some quick information about this type of water. If you are interested, I urge you to so some further research for yourself. I do my best to only drink the alkaline water, but since I don't have the equipment at home it is sometimes a challenge when I run out of the supply I get from the natural store. At times, my schedule may prevent me from getting my regular fill-ups, so in that case I do sometimes have to resort to purchasing non-alkaline water. I do however, try my best to plan ahead to avoid this scenario. I do feel the alkaline water has a much cleaner, lighter and smoother taste than other water. I can now really tell the difference when I drink other water.

So, Mike, I hope this gives you more insight and has prompted you to look further into alkaline water. Of course the same goes for everyone else too!
