Hey folks,

Welcome to this edition of Savory Sundays. Today's savory bite is a snack- no cooking required. All you need is celery sticks and some hummus. I was racking my brain last week trying to come up with ideas for some nutritous and easy snacks to make and was inspired by the celery in the fridge. I bought some hummus for dipping of the celery! I mentioned this to JJ and he was sweet enough to buy me some fresh celery to go with the Kalamata Olive hummus I bought from Trader Joe's for this purpose. I had some yesterday and it was SO good! Simple, yes, but very satisfying. Trader Joe's has some delicious flavors of prepared hummus and there are also tons of recipes on the web for making your own at home, which is also quick and easy.

If celery ain't your schtick..LOL..then dip whatever raw veggies you like into some hummus and it will surely do the trick (I did not make that rhyme on purpose I promise)! Cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots and zucchini are a few that come to mind. You are only limited by your imagination and taste buds my friends!


  1. One of my fave emergency snacks. I like to dip cuke slices in the hummus – or my finger LOL.
