Hey everyone,

Happy Physical Fitness Friday!  One great way to get in a good workout while enjoying the outdoors is hiking.  As we march into the fall and the temperatures begin to drop, it's the perfect time to hit the trails.  Fall brings wonderful colors to enjoy while getting that heart pumping on a hike!

Most states have wonderful trails that you can go to, it's just a matter of doing your research.  I believe hiking is good for the body and mind.  Not only are you working your body but it is so relaxing to be surrounded by nature.  Some trails are more grueling than others, so it's important that you have the right shoes and hiking equipment before heading out.  Many parks also provide detailed maps which can guide you to the different routes you can take depending on what type of hike you are seeking.  It is also very important to pay attention to danger signs and be aware of your surroundings while you're out there.  Some places such as California have numerous trails and canyons you can hike which offer the most incredible views that the work getting to the top is well worth it!

If you've never ventured out on a hike, I highly suggest giving it a try.  If you're a lover of the outdoors, I guarantee it won't be your last time!
