Hey folks,

Welcome to this edition of Whatever Wednesdays.  If you have a Farmer's Market in your area, this is a great way to buy VERY reasonable produce and more importantly you help the environment when you buy locally.  I am SO glad to be back in L.A. where there are a plethora of weekly Farmer's Markets to visit.  I can say this is one of the things I missed most not living here.  JJ and I have been to the one in Hollywood two weeks in a row.  Last week we picked up some avocados, cantaloupe, oranges, apples and easily the best peaches I think I've ever tasted.

You can go to most Farmer's Markets with as little as ten bucks and rack up a good amount of fruits and veggies.  There are also a lot of specialty vendors that sell anything from baked goods to organic nuts to beautiful flowers.  I highly recommend finding one in your area to visit.  You should be able to conduct a search online to find some in your city.  I guarantee this will become a ritual for you!

Happy shopping!

  1. I visited the Farmers Market in the Ann Arbor area. I wish I would have gotten there earlier, because there was a baker there and she had ran out of vegan goods by the time I got there. I really expected there to be more young people there, especially given the demographics of the town. It was nice though

  2. I love the Farmer's Market. You should try to visit some more in other areas.
