Happy Physical Fitness Friday!

I hope everyone had a great week!  I got to thinking today about the importance of keeping your workout routine fresh.  It's so easy to get into a exercise slump if you're not challenging your body to do different things.  I recently went to yoga with some girlfriends of mine who practice religiously.  I have taken yoga years ago, and once or twice at home with a DVD more recently, but I never really felt compelled to get back into it.  I started doing Pilates and liked that better, so that is what I stuck with.  I was a little hesitant because my own workout routine has been very sporadic lately due to transitioning and starting a new job and I didn't know what to expect.  However, I pushed my reservations aside and went to the class.  I must say I am glad I went, but I'm still more of a Pilates woman. 

The main point is, as I say with choosing the veg lifestyle, it's about trying new things and switching it up.  Now although yoga wasn't new to me, it's as if it was because I hadn't practiced it in years.  I believe that in order to stay motivated physically, it takes discovering and trying many different ways to challenge your body.  So, I urge you to try something new for your exercise routine once in a while.  You are less likely to get bored and may discover a new passion for exercise!
