Hey everyone!

Happy Sweet Tooth Saturday!  If your sweet tooth was ready for a recipe to satisfy it today, I'm afraid you'll have to dig through my archives.  As I've already mentioned, the next few days I will be posting videos from my friend John Moody on the seven day vegan challenge!!

Moody (as his friends affectionately call him) brought up some valid points yesterday about the reasons people choose to go vegan and why there are so many substitutes for things vegans consider wrong (either morally or for health reasons) to eat.  I know when I came into veganism it was from a health point of view, however the more I grow into it the more I connect to the moral side of things.  This is still a work in progress for me, but I'm definitely more aware.  I've never had nor desired to have tofurkey, but I have had other substitutes that I enjoy, like Daiya cheese which I've mentioned before.  However, there are many other substitutions that I stay away from and I don't eat Daiya or any other substitutions on any regular basis.  I think it all boils down to where people are personally.  I think everyone who is vegan, does it for different reasons and has their own individual journey.  I for one, try to continue to keep growing and learning in order to do the best for my health, the environment and the animals.  The latter two, I continue to learn more about each day.  I would never label myself as a radical vegan as I hope you can tell from the nature of this blog and I don't forsee myself going in that direction.  At the end of the day, people have the right to make whatever choice they want and I will never believe that judging and berating anyone is ever the answer!  Teach and live by example is my motto and I'm sure will remain as such.

Okay, now that I'm off my soapbox, check out the video!! :-) Tomorrow I will be revealing what I will be doing for the 21 day challenge!!
