Hey folks,

Welcome to Talk To Me Tuesday!  My oldest sister has been asking me, "Can't you do a vegetarian challenge because I can't give up milk?"

Well, there is no such thing as can'! It's a matter of will you or won't you right?!  I'm a firm believer that you can do anything you set your mind to and anyone can do something for just seven days!  However, my sister seems to feel she is a different case because she has a love affair with Vitamin D whole milk that I've never seen.  This is a woman who says she will pour herself a glass of milk to quench her thirst..LOL! Even when I wasn't vegan, I was never into milk like that, so the thought of drinking it to quench thirst is quite foreign to me to say the least! I've pleaded with her to give rice milk, coconut milk, almond milk or soymilk a try, but she's not having it (she's very stubborn)!  If anyone out there has any suggestions to help her with this addiction..PLEASE leave a comment!

In any event, she is my sister and really sounds like she would at least give up meat for seven days to do a vegetarian version of the vegan challenge.  I am a true believer of taking baby steps and transitioning, besides, I was vegetarian first and then became vegan.  So, I will help her along to do a vegetarian challenge and anyone else out there that is a little timid about going straight to the vegan challenge as well.  I'm doing this out of love for my sister :-) and the sincere hope that this will prompt her or anyone else out there to take it a step further and do the full vegan challenge after being vegetarian first.  I will try to convince her to at least not drink milk everyday she's on the challenge, we'll see what happens!

So, here you go M..if you're still down for the cause, I will make this concession for you and tailor fit something that will work for you! :-) If anyone else is interested in taking either challenge, please e-mail me at and I will go over the guidelines with you!  Look forward to hearing from you!

P.S. I will be taking a challenge of my own very, very please stay tuned for details!
