WHATEVER WEDNESDAYS- HOMEMADE TRAIL MIX

Hey folks,

Welcome to Whatever Wednesday! I've been going nonstop since Monday and it's during these times like these where I need an easy snack to have on the road.  Fruit is always a winner, but when you want to switch it up, I think trail mix is a good choice.  I grabbed some today from the Farmer's Market and I thought with the right ingredients in the pantry- you can throw your own together whenever you want!  Check out the following recipe for Banana Raisin Trail Mix from Better Homes and Gardens:

BANANA RAISIN TRAIL MIX

INGREDIENTS

2 cups raisins

2 cups dried banana chips- I would get unsweetened

2 cups unsalted dry roasted peanuts

1 6-ounce package mixed dried fruit bits (1-1/3 cups)
DIRECTIONS

In a storage container combine raisins, banana chips, peanuts, and fruit. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 1 week. (To tote, take the container or divide among small resealable plastic bags.) Makes about 7 cups (14, 1/2-cup servings).

Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare the mix. Store, covered, in a cool, dry place up to 1 week.
