Hey folks,

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend so far!  I was watching the Food Network earlier (as I typically do to get meal ideas to "veganize") and Giada DeLaurentiis grilled some bananas and grapes.  I can honestly say I would have never thought to grill either of those items, but it sounded delicious.  So, I decided to dig for some recipe ideas to post for grilling up some bananas!  There are several yummy sounding ideas out there, but check out the one I picked from below!

CARAMELIZED BANANAS: In a shallow dish combine 2 tablespoons each packed brown sugar and melted butter or margarine (use vegan versions-earth balance would work here). Add 4 peeled bananas cut in half lengthwise and crosswise. Stir gently to coat. Grill over medium-high heat 3-5 minutes, turning once with a wide spatula. Serve warm.

You can kick up the above recipe a notch by adding your favorite non-dairy ice cream on top! An easy, fast and delicious summer dessert! mmmm! :-)
