Today, I wanted to bring you a recipe for a strawberry smoothie that I found on vegweb posted by Aigroc.  With the summer temperatures heating up, it's always good to have some recipes for treats in your arsenal to help cool you down!  This smoothie is super simple and sounds very refreshing.  The great thing about smoothies is you can use your imagination and come up with countless variations of your favorite fruits and veggies! So, be adventurous and whip one up on a hot summer day!  Now, let's get on to today's selection!


INGREDIENTS (use vegan versions):

5 to 6 medium fresh or frozen strawberries

1 pear or 1 banana (or both)

1/4 cup fresh coconut juice (or whatever juice you have on hand or water)

two big handfuls fresh spinach leaves


Place in blender in order shown and blend. You can substitute with other greens, and fruit. Frozen strawberries taste best.. unless you have really ripe strawberries.
