Are You a Cheater?

Hey folks!

I thought the title may get your attention! I'm speaking of Gardein today and their slogan is "cheat on meat"!

Today I picked up some Gardein chik'n fingers to make for a quick dinner.  I've had Gardein before, but this time I'm trying the Seven Grain Crispy Tenders and see how I like those!

The variety I had before are those pictured, the Chipotle Lime Flavor which I did enjoy.  I find these to be something to have in the freezer for a quick go-to meal.  Although we know that unprocessed and fresh food is always best as a first choice, I think it's fine to have something like this as an alternative from time to time.  I also find these to be good for people who are transitioning and are still seeking a certain flavor and texture.  You can toss these in a whole wheat wrap with tomato and lettuce or use them as a salad topper.  There are many ways to be creative with these and I do recommend giving them a try! They are indeed a great way to "cheat on meat"!

  2. Though I've been quite loyal to my omnivore diet lately, I may have to step out for a little something on the side. These look tasty. How much for a bag?
