#Unprocessed Challenge- Day 1- Some Cures for the Sweet Tooth In You!

Happy October folks!!

I can't believe how fast this year is flying by!  I am excited for all the great things on the horizon for Veggin' this month! Be sure to stay tuned and sign up for my newsletter to remain in the loop!

Well, as I discussed on Friday, I signed the pledge to go unprocessed for the entire month of October!  I hope some of you out there are taking the challenge as well.  I found a very handy guide over on the Eating Rules sight with some very valuable information and helpful tips which you can check out here.  If you are doing the challenge or just wanting to cut back on processed foods in general, I demand really urge you to read the guide, especially the appendix for how to stock an unprocessed pantry. ;-)

Now, I always do my best to limit my intake of processed foods in general, but tend to allow myself to indulge a little more one or two days out of the week, usually on the weekends when I tend to dine out a little more.  I will be the first to admit that I do have a sweet tooth, so I was thinking about what I can have besides fruit (always the best choice) when I want to switch things up a bit and I found three recipes that I will give a whirl at some point I'm sure.  One features one of my favorites- sweet potatoes, so that will definitely be first up on my list!
