A Great Recovery!

Hey folks!

I hope your week has started off in a grand way!  So far, so good over here!  I got my brand new Polar heart rate monitor and calorie counter and it is the BOMB! It is exactly what I need and you can learn more about that on the Fitness page!

I wanted to share a recipe for my new workout recovery drink.  I recently picked up some Hemp Protein powder from Trader Joe's to add to my smoothie for a little added protein to my day as I'm training.  The taste was a little strong for me at first, but now I don't really notice it, especially because of all the other ingredients that I add.  Check out the goods!




CHRISTA'S PROTEIN SMOOTHIE

8 oz of plain almond milk or coconut water
1 cup of kale (I've been using the frozen variety)
1 banana
1 teaspoon of ground flaxseeds
1 cup of pineapple
4 tbsp organic hemp protein powder

That's it! East, quick, plain and simple!  This of course is just one variation so you can add any fruits or veggies you like!  Now, head on over to the Fitness page to hear more about the Polar!
