You Got Almonds? Then You Got Milk!
Well today I had the pleasure of learning about the website Foodbabe.com while watching this week's installment of Marie Forleo's Marie TV! Vani who is the creator of Foodbabe.com provided a list of the five foods we SHOULDN'T be eating during her interview with Marie. I almost didn't even tune it because I just knew nothing that I eat was on the list..aaannd..I was wrong! This just proves that no matter how much you think you know, there is always room to know more!
The biggest surprise for me was that almond milk made the list! Yes, you heard me correctly, I said ALMOND.MILK! What??!! Now before you head to your fridge to dump yours out, pump the brakes a bit! As you will see in the video she breaks it down and gives some alternatives and what specific ingredient on the label to look out for which is Carrageenan. I don't want to delve too much into the information she provided since I
I will say however that yours truly will be making up her first batch of homemade almond milk this weekend! I honestly don't know why it's taken me so long to do this anyway. I know that it's super simple and only requires a few ingredients. I can already see a few of you turning your lips up or rolling your eyes because it's SO much easier to just grab some off the shelf. I do understand and you still can get some off the shelf (as mentioned in the vid) but to live an empowered and most healthful lifestyle, it will require you to make sacrifices from time to time. I'm sure you make plenty of other "sacrifices" that require far more time and attention that you do willfully and frequently. What you put in your body should ALWAYS be given the utmost attention.
