Meet My Meals: Brunch Time

Hey folks!

I realize it's been a couple of weeks since I let you "meet my meals".  Well, I'm just glad that my appetite is finally starting to come back after a bout with a nasty flu bug last week.  I can't recall the last time I was that sick!  My life was definitely interrupted drastically to say the very least!

I admittedly didn't do a very good job of taking care of myself with the amount of rest I should have gotten.  Ah well, I'm just thankful to be feeling like myself again, but will still tread a little lighter than usual going into the week just to be on the safe side.  Especially since my official twelve week competition prep starts this weekend! I can't believe it!  I still could use your support, so please visit my page and check out my latest update! 

Anyway, I was able to get in a little workout this morning by doing about a 2.5 mile walk around the Silverlake Reservoir and it felt incredible to be out and about again after not exercising for over a week.  Afterwards I knew it would benefit me to have a hearty meal, so I swung over to one of my favorite places in L.A. to get brunch, Flore Vegan.  I decided to have the Gluten-Free Veggie Frittata.  It was probably the biggest meal I've had all week, but I needed it.  It was a lot of food so I ended up splitting it into two meals.  Their frittata is tofu based with veggies mixed in and it comes topped with kale and red onions and I chose a side of potatoes.  It was my second time having this dish and it satisfied just like the first time!  I just look forward to getting my full appetite back and on track again with my meals throughout the day!
