The Change Up!

 Hey folks!

As promised in my last post, I am checking in with you to give an update on my recharge/detox.  The first week went well for the most part.  There was one day when I was so hungry and went into Whole Foods to pick up some fruit and I was wanting to pick up so much more.  They had a couple of my favorite items in prepared foods that I wanted to purchase, but I made it out with the bananas and butternut squash I went in there to get! Mind over matter was in full effect!

Anyway, I did decide that seven days was good enough for me to reset and started to incorporate my beans, tofu and tempeh back into the mix.  I’m at a point right now where I’m also amping up my workout intensity, so adding some more bulk in my diet will be beneficial right now.  I really do see the benefits of filling up exclusively on fruits and veggies to give my system a break on the more highly processed foods and have decided to make it a point to do this more often.
