In 2010, I was looking for a creative outlet for myself and decided to start blogging as a tool to educate others about living a plant based lifestyle. For that first year, I vowed to put out content every EVERY SINGLE DAY and as I did, my love for sharing and serving others continued to blossom!
Some years later, I decided I wanted to expand my business to include personal training and became a Certified Personal Trainer through The National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have always had a love for fitness as well as motivating others, so moving in this direction was a natural progression.
I’ve had the pleasure of writing weekly columns for the now defunct Thrifty and Green, GoodVeg and Frugivore online magazines. I was also a contributing writer for I Eat Grass. I’ve had featured pieces or profiles on Spicy Wifey, Our Legaci, JL Goes Vegan, No Animals Harmed, Kwanzaa Culinarians, Brown Vegan, I Eat Grass and Vegan Mainstream.
I’m currently on the personal training team for Handstand, a writing contributor for Media Shower and a mentor for the Vegan Society . I’ve served in the capacity of an Ambassador for Murad and Black Fitness Today. I was also a featured panelist at the 2011 Vida Vegan Con, the first annual vegan bloggers conference.
In addition to my private personal training sessions, I instructed group classes at the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles as part of their health and wellness initiative. I also received a certificate in Pre/Post Natal Fitness to expand my knowledge in training expecting and new moms.
Additionally, you can check out some live online classes I conducted on the plant-based lifestyle at Learn It Live.
